Life passing by

Today I logged into one of my old email accounts. It was the first email address that I owned, and I found that a lot of the emails I thought was lost, was there in some folder.

It was so strange to read emails from 12 years back(-Yaiks!! I just realized it's been 12 years..!!). There was emails from close friends, old colleagues and co students, and of course the inevitable fling or five....

The reason I felt like checking my old Hotmail account today, was because these last few days it's like this wave of memories from years back has just flooded my mind, and are sort of invading me. -In a nice way, though! Pictures of old friends and people that I used to know are passing before my eyes before I go to sleep. It makes me wonder where they all are, what they're doing..

-and where the heck did all that time go??!!!??

Hormones on the wall..

I think it's hillarious that my parents haven't removed some of the wall art in their bedroom, which used to be my room from the age of 11-15. Yup. There was hormones. I have always been drawing a lot, and I remember drawing this one. My mom was having a Tupperware party or something in the livingroom, so it was off limits, and I was spending a few hours in my room. I had seen the Bill and Ted movies and Point Break a few times, so I chose to draw Keanu Reeves on the door. I blame it on my 14 years of age..

Easter finds

I spent a couple of days at my parents house during easter. The attic there is amazing. It's full of treasures (-and crap) from the past. These have been dusted off and are currently living with me

A set of fancy dessert bowls from the 70's. My parents got them as a wedding present.

A large Norwegian designed porcelain mug, not sure when it dates from, but it used to belong to my grandmother. The small one, also Norwegian designed porcelain, just came with the house.

A happy mix of old plates, will do nicely as props for photographing jewlery.. maybe.

This one I did'nt bring home with me, it just looks interesting. It belonged to my older brother, and has been dismantled..

Once again my cubbards are full for sure, and I'm happy!

Seraphin rocks my day

I recently rediscovered one of my favorite books as a child. It's called "Le merveilleux chef d'oeuvre de Seraphin" or "Serafin og hans makeløse mesterverk" in Norwegian. It's written by Philippe Fix, and I have spent countless hours studying the details in the illustrations as a kid. Looking at the pictures today takes me back instantly to my childhood, and I can see how it has inspired my imagination and my creativity. Today I found that there is actually two more books in this series, so of course I have to order them.

Here's a few glimpses from the book. I highly recommend this, either for kids, or for grown up kids such as my self..
